In many ways, the African American community has overcome numerous obstacles. From systemic racism to economic hardships, we have shown resilience, strength, and a powerful sense of unity. However, there is one area where we can still make tremendous progress that has the potential to further elevate and protect our community—strengthening the institution of marriage.

Marriage, as a cornerstone of society, has long been a source of stability, protection, and longevity for families, cultures, and nations. The African American community, despite facing significant challenges, has historically relied on strong family bonds. It’s time to bring marriage back to the forefront of our cultural identity—not just for the benefit of our families, but for the security, culture, and future of our people.
